We’re looking for a skilled Bookkeeper based in India who can manage day-to-day accounting, maintain accurate financial records, and communicate professionally with our Canadian team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily bookkeeping in Zoho Books / QuickBooks Online / Xero.
• Record and categorize all financial transactions accurately.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements.
• Prepare monthly financial reports (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Respond promptly to emails and answer phone calls during 8 AM – 5 PM Toronto time.
• Support the accounting team with month-end and year-end closings.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience (preferably with Canadian or international clients but not required).
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written) — must be comfortable handling calls.
• Must be available 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Toronto time (EST/EDT).
• Proficient in Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, or Xero.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Canadian bookkeeping or tax practices.
• Experience with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, or Notion.
• Prior experience working remotely with international teams.
