We're working on a gripping mystery-thriller visual novel and need someone who can breathe life into characters, settings, and emotionally immersive scenes. 🕹 About the Role: This is a remote, contract-based opportunity to join a creative team bringing a mystery-thriller visual novel to life. You’ll work closely with writers, game designers, and developers to craft stunning visuals that elevate the narrative experience. Responsibilities Create high-quality 2D character illustrations, environments, and props. Develop expressive character portraits and dynamic poses that reflect the narrative tone. Design immersive backgrounds and storyboards for key scenes. Ensure visual consistency and emotional depth across assets. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure assets work smoothly in-game. Work in Photoshop/Illustrator to deliver optimized, high-resolution assets. Required Skills & Experience 2–5 years of experience as a 2D artist in gaming, comics, or visual storytelling. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools. Strong understanding of character design, anatomy, lighting, and perspective. Familiarity with visual novel or narrative-driven game formats. Demonstrated experience collaborating with technical/game development teams.
