Rehab Psychologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Rehabilitation Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with disabilities, helping them overcome cognitive, emotional, and psychological challenges to achieve greater independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs of individuals with disabilities, including hearing impairment, neurological conditions, and developmental disorders. Develop individualized rehabilitation plans and therapeutic interventions to address psychological and behavioural issues. Provide counselling and psycho-social support to clients and their families. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (audiologists, special educators, speech therapists, doctors, social workers) to ensure holistic rehabilitation planning. Conduct psychoeducational sessions and group therapy as needed. Maintain accurate case records, progress notes, and reports. Assist in designing behaviour modification programs and coping strategies. Support vocational and educational counselling for students and young adults. Conduct training sessions and awareness workshops for staff, caregivers, and the community. Stay updated with best practices in rehabilitation psychology and contribute to program development. Qualifications and Skills: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Rehabilitation Psychology from a recognized institution. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a rehabilitation setting. Strong understanding of psychological assessments, behaviour therapies, and rehabilitation principles. Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills. Empathetic, patient, and committed to empowering individuals with disabilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
