Role Overview: You will be responsible for rendering direct quality Nursing Care to the patients in your area. You will also take over the departmental inventory, including the crash cart, and inform higher authorities of any shortages or breakages. Additionally, you will provide assistance to medical and paramedical staff, manage the department in the absence of the Senior Nurse, and update the whiteboard near the nursing station in each shift when the ward clerk is not available. It is crucial for you to follow all assessment forms, protocols, and documentation, such as Drug Calculation and Drug Labeling. You will also orient patients as per the patient orientation checklist and adhere to hand hygiene protocols and HIC protocol for segregation of Bio-Medical Waste. Handling patient grievances, coordinating with other departments for smooth functioning, guiding nursing school students/trainees, managing untoward incidents, and staying updated on the latest nursing knowledge are also part of your responsibilities. Supervising subordinate and housekeeping staff, updating knowledge in Basic Life Support, and maintaining patient records are key aspects of this role.
