Job Title: Regional Business Development Manager – Solar Energy Location: Jaipur Job Type: Full-time Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar Energy Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Business Development Manager to join our team in the Jaipur region. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving business growth within the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar segment. This position involves identifying potential business opportunities, managing client relationships, overseeing the sales cycle, and contributing to strategic planning. Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the solar energy sector, particularly within commercial and industrial markets. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, project management companies (PMCs), and relevant regulatory authorities. Conduct market research and analysis to track industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive activity. Manage the full sales cycle including lead generation, proposal preparation, client presentations, negotiations, and closing deals. Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure project feasibility and alignment with client requirements. Develop strategies to enhance regional market presence and increase revenue. Provide regular updates to senior management through reports on business development activities, market trends, and competitor insights. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution and delivery of projects. Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events to promote the company’s offerings. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred. 8–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or project management within the solar or renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of solar power systems, project lifecycle, and applicable regulations. Demonstrated experience in managing sales processes from initial contact through contract closure. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel as per business requirements. Prior experience in solar EPC projects or project bidding is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of the solar market in the Jaipur region. Established professional network within the solar industry, including contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
