You will be responsible for designing and developing complete HVAC products based on design requirements and meeting standards, review, verification, and validation. Your role will involve a thorough understanding of the refrigeration cycle for HVAC equipment like Air Handling Units (AHU), VRF, PAC, RAC, RTU, etc. Experience in designing air conditioning coils, refrigeration circuits, compressor design, and selection will be essential. You should have knowledge of AHRI & ASHRAE HVAC standards and experience in new product development to ensure quality and timely design release of HVAC equipment. In this position, you will need to work under minimal direction in collaboration with global teams to design and develop robust system solutions that meet defined system requirements. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and understanding the design requirements for HVAC equipment with DX coil, component selection for optimized performance as per ASHRAE standards and North America compliance, and providing work estimates. You will also plan and control design and delivery of projects to meet objectives for project/system standards, quality, reliability, and performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for all aspects of refrigeration design requirements of AHU, RTU, PAC, working with value engineering and CAD design teams for reverse/tear down engineering projects, understanding and following the product development process, coordinating with project leads and overseas clients, and ensuring quality and timely design release of mechanical systems. Travelling onsite for prototype testing and coordination may be required, along with training and technical mentoring of the team. The ideal candidate for this role should have a BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development in the area of Heat Transfer/Refrigeration. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of HVAC equipment like AHUs, VRF, PAC, RAC, Dedicated outside Air Systems, Heat pumps, ASHRAE standards, Psychometrics, Thermodynamics, Refrigeration Cycles, DFMEA, GD&T, strong communication skills, and the ability to discuss technical topics with individuals and groups with a wide range of technical backgrounds.,
