Job Description

OpenShift DevOps Engineer (Disconnected Environment)

23+ yearsJoin us to deploy and manage containerized applications in Red Hat OpenShift within air-gapped environments, ensuring security and reliability.

Your Role

As an OpenShift DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying containerized applications to Red Hat OpenShift in disconnected environments. You'll manage cluster setup, image mirroring, Helm chart adaptation, and replace Azure managed services with self-hosted alternatives. This role requires strong DevOps practices and expertise in OpenShift Operators and monitoring tools.

In this role, you will:

Deploy existing containerized applications from AKS to OpenShift in air-gapped setups.Set up and manage OpenShift clusters in disconnected environments, including image mirroring, installation, and upgrades.Manage Helm-based deployments and adapt charts for OpenShift compatibility.Work with OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for storage solutions.Replace Azure managed services with self-hosted equivalents (PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Ceph).Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.Ensure security, compliance, and observability in disconnected environments.Collaborate with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams for smooth operations.

Your Profile

2+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift in disconnected/air-gapped environments.Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests.Experience with Kubectl, OC CLI, and container registries (Quay, Harbor).Familiarity with OpenShift Operators, RBAC, and network policies.Basic Linux administration and scripting (Bash or similar).Experience deploying and managing self-hosted services (PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).Familiarity with cluster monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

Nice to Have:

OpenShift Administration certification (preferred but not mandatory).Exposure to OpenShift Virtualization.Understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services.
