R&D Image Sensor Engineer

Role Overview: As a member of Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL), you will be responsible for integration tasks to develop CMOS Image Sensor technologies on various nodes ranging from 28nm to 180nm. Your role will involve optimizing technology parameters such as Quantum Efficiency, Pixel Size, Cross-talk, and Dark current across wavelengths from 400-800nm. Additionally, you will work on both BSI and FSI technologies, ensuring Global and Rolling shutter capabilities. Your responsibilities will also include designing and laying out test chips for device/technology optimization, assisting in SPICE model and design kit creation, and maintaining core CMOS transistor performance for 3T/4T pixels and array designs. Furthermore, you will collaborate with designers to specify competitive arrays and interface with customers at all stages of technology development. Travel may be required as part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Integrate CMOS Image Sensor technologies on nodes from 28nm to 180nm - Optimize technology parameters such as Quantum Efficiency, Pixel Size, Cross-talk, and Dark current - Work on both BSI and FSI technologies with Global and Rolling shutter capabilities - Design and layout test chips for device/technology optimization - Assist in SPICE model and design kit creation - Maintain core CMOS transistor performance for 3T/4T pixels and array designs - Collaborate with designers to specify competitive arrays - Interface with customers throughout technology development - Manage overall project, including presenting to customers, peers, and executives Qualifications: - M.S or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent - Strong understanding of CMOS and eNVM device physics, process modules, yield improvement, failure mechanisms, and analytical techniques - Deep knowledge of CMOS Image Sensor technologies and process modules - Familiarity with CIS technology parameters and figures of merit - Proven track record in delivering technologies into volume manufacturing - Experience with color filter coatings - Ability to work in cross-functional teams and achieve project completion within timeline and cost targets - Comfort working across different cultures and geographies - Strong team player with an innovative and competitive mindset Additional Details: Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group specializing in manufacturing precision components.
