R&D Executive

We are seeking a dynamic and scientifically minded R&D Executive to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ayurvedic principles combined with modern pharmaceutical formulation skills. You will play a key role in conceptualizing, developing, and standardizing new Ayurvedic proprietary medicines and classical formulations, ensuring they meet global quality standards (AYUSH, GMP, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Formulation Development:

• Develop robust, stable, and effective Ayurvedic formulations (Tablets, Capsules, Syrups, Churnas, Oils, and Topical applications).

• Conduct pre-formulation studies and compatibility studies of excipients with herbal extracts/bhasmas.

• Optimize existing formulations to improve stability, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.

• Lead laboratory-scale trials and successfully transfer technology to pilot and production scales.

2. Standardization & Scientific Validation:

• Perform literature searches using classical Ayurvedic texts (e.g., Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Bhava Prakasha) and modern scientific journals.

• Collaborate with the Analytical Development Lab (ADL) to establish standardization parameters for raw materials and finished products (using TLC, HPTLC, HPLC).

• Ensure products meet pharmacopoeial standards (API - Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India).

3. Regulatory & Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain Master Formula Records (MFR) and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).

• Compile technical data for product licensing and regulatory filings with State Licensing Authorities (Ayush) or export registrations.

• Ensure all R&D activities comply with cGMP, GLP, and ISO guidelines.

4. Innovation & Market Trends:

• Identify innovative herbal ingredients and delivery systems (e.g., nano-herbal technology, soft gels).

• Stay updated on market trends in the wellness, nutraceutical, and herbal sectors to propose new product concepts.

Education:

• Essential: B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) OR M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy / Phytochemistry / Pharmaceutics).

Experience:

• 1-3 years of core experience in the R&D department of a reputed Ayurvedic or Herbal Pharmaceutical company.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
