Raw Material Manager - Iron ore and Coal Procurement

Role Overview: As a Raw Material Manager specializing in iron ore and coal procurement at our Hyderabad location, your role will involve developing and managing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers for optimal pricing and quality, ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials, monitoring market trends, collaborating with logistics and production teams, maintaining supplier relationships, and preparing reports on procurement KPIs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage sourcing strategies for iron ore and coal. - Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for optimal pricing and quality. - Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to support continuous production. - Monitor market trends, logistics, and pricing to forecast supply and cost risks. - Collaborate with logistics and production teams for inventory and delivery planning. - Maintain supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company standards and contractual terms. - Prepare reports on procurement KPIs, vendor performance, and cost-saving initiatives. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. MBA is a plus. - 5-10 years of procurement experience, specifically in iron ore and coal. - Strong understanding of raw material sourcing, market dynamics, and vendor management. - Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
