Job Description

transcribes radiology reports dictated by radiologists, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation

Transcription:
Accurately and efficiently type radiology reports from dictation, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic imaging procedures.
Report Preparation:
Format and edit reports, ensuring proper grammar, spelling, and medical terminology.
Record Keeping:
Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Administrative Support:
Assist with general administrative duties within the radiology department, which may include scheduling appointments, managing files, and handling inquiries.
Compliance:
Adhere to HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Typing Proficiency:
Strong typing skills with a high level of speed and accuracy.
Medical Terminology:
Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in the field of radiology.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to maintain accuracy while working under pressure.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in using word processing software, medical transcription software, and other relevant computer applications.
Confidentiality:
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
