Role Overview

Pathology Lab Manager (Local Candidates Preferred)

The Pathology Lab Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pathology laboratory, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving business growth through effective strategies. This role requires both technical knowledge of lab operations and expertise to increase patient inflow, doctor referrals, and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities

A. Laboratory Operations Management

Supervise daily pathology lab operations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of test results.

Coordinate with pathologists, technicians, and collection staff for smooth workflow.

Maintain quality control, equipment calibration, and adherence to NABL/ISO or relevant standards.

Ensure proper documentation, reporting systems, and compliance with statutory regulations.

Manage inventory of reagents, consumables, and equipment maintenance schedules.

Implement cost control measures without compromising on quality.

B.Team & Customer Management

Train and supervise lab staff for efficiency and professionalism.

Handle patient queries, complaints, and ensure high standards of customer service.

Ensure ethical practices in both lab reporting and other activities.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Lab Technology (MLT), or related field.

MBA/PGDM in Healthcare Management (preferred).

Experience:

3 years in pathology lab management or healthcare operations.

Experience in diagnostic industry preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of pathology lab processes and quality standards.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

Leadership and team management ability.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving approach.

Lab operational efficiency & accuracy in reporting.

Increase in patient footfall and test volumes.
