Job Description

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

Interpret Medical Images
: Analyze various imaging modalities (X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound) to diagnose and monitor diseases.
Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals
: Work closely with referring physicians and other medical staff to discuss findings and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Perform Interventional Procedures
: Conduct image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and injections when necessary.
Ensure Patient Safety
: Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure that imaging equipment is functioning correctly to protect patients and staff.
Maintain Accurate Records
: Document findings and maintain patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay Updated
: Keep abreast of advancements in radiology and imaging technology to provide the best patient care possible.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Medical Degree

: Must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, with specialized training in radiology.

Licensure

: Must be licensed to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction and board-certified in radiology.

Analytical Skills

: Strong ability to interpret complex medical images and make accurate diagnoses.

Communication Skills

: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey findings to patients and healthcare teams effectively.

Attention to Detail

: High level of precision in analyzing images and documenting results.
