Indirect Taxation (GST): Ensure timely and accurate filing of all GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C). Independently manage monthly GST reconciliations, input tax credit, and compliance documentation. Handle GST audits, departmental notices, inquiries, and assessments. Advise on GST structuring, place of supply, exemptions, and ITC eligibility. Tax Planning & Advisory: Formulate and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to minimize tax exposure. Act as a tax advisor to management for business transactions and policy decisions. Coordinate with statutory auditors, consultants, and legal teams for tax matters. Compliance & Controls: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for tax records and filings. Develop internal controls to ensure robust tax governance and compliance. Identify and mitigate tax-related risks proactively. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4 to 10 years of strong post-qualification experience in both Direct and Indirect Taxation . Must have experience handling tax matters independently in a responsible role. In-depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act , GST Laws , and other applicable tax regulations. Proficient in Tally, Excel, and tax platforms; working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with an ability to manage a team, where required.
