Quantity Surveyor/ Quote Executive- Civil Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quotation Analyst with a strong background in civil works and related items within the interior fit-out industry. The ideal candidate will support the design and execution teams in preparing accurate and competitive project quotations by analyzing drawings, specifications, and BOQs, ensuring civil elements are appropriately captured and costed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze architectural, civil, and interior drawings and specifications to extract relevant scope for quotation preparation.

2. Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and civil-related works (e.g., masonry, plastering, waterproofing, false ceiling supports, flooring base work, core cutting, etc.) as part of interior project BOQs.

3. Coordinate with project managers, designers, and VM to get accurate material and labor rates for civil-related line items.

4. Maintain an up-to-date database of standard line items, rate cards, and civil work costing for modular and site-built works.

5. Support the design team by recommending the appropriate civil scope inclusion/exclusion for specific design intents.

6. Perform cost comparisons for different materials or execution approaches (e.g., brick vs. blockwork, tile vs. granite flooring).

7. Ensure that all quotations are aligned with project budgets, timelines, and execution constraints.

8. Collaborate with procurement and site teams for cost validations and revisions based on actual site conditions or vendor feedback.

9. Assist in quote revisions and change order costing during the project execution phase.

10. Conduct Quote QC against the Additional Service Quotation & 2D Docket

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

2. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in estimation or quotation preparation, specifically for interior fit-out or construction projects.

3. Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and rates relevant to the interior industry.

4. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and interpreting design specifications.

5. Familiarity with interior-related civil scope like partitions, flooring, leveling, plumbing core works, and electrical chase cutting.

6. Experience with estimation tools, Excel-based BOQs, and basic ERP systems (preferred).

7. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

8. Ability to manage multiple project quotes simultaneously and work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

1. Exposure to modular interior or factory-built furniture estimation.

2. Knowledge of local building codes and standard construction practices.

3. Understanding of the costing implications of civil decisions on MEP and design execution.
