Job Description

Position Overview

We are hiring for the position of Quantity Surveyor for multiple upcoming projects across Pan India. This role involves managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and quantity surveying for large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost control, contract management, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for large infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine accurate quantities and costs.
  • Develop and manage project cost plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and budget constraints.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and measurements for all construction activities, including civil, structural, and MEP works.
  • Verify and validate contractor-submitted quantities and ensure accuracy in billing.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of tender documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Evaluate contractor bids and provide recommendations for award.
  • Manage contract variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Prepare and review interim payment certificates and final accounts for contractors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to verify work progress and ensure accurate valuations.
  • Ensure timely processing of payments to contractors and vendors.
  • Identify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports, including cash flow forecasts, cost-to-complete analyses, and financial summaries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost plans, and contracts.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (mandatory).
  • Masters degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in quantity surveying for large-scale infrastructure projects, such as airports, shopping malls, or commercial complexes.
  • Proven experience in project supervision and construction management with a focus on cost control and contract administration.
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, MS Excel).
  • Familiarity with local and international standards, such as IS codes, FIDIC, and other contractual frameworks.

  • Certification in quantity surveying or cost management (e.g., RICS, CIQS, or equivalent).
  • Experience in managing cost control for live environments, such as operational airports or malls.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to manage stakeholders and contractors.
