Quantity Survey Engineer. Company: Alutec Business Unit: Materials Reports to: Sr. Material Planning Engineer Location: Kochi, Kerela Job Description: The Quantity Survey Engineer will be responsible for accurate quantity take-offs, timely preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for bulk orders, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. The role involves effective coordination with interdepartmental teams to meet project timelines and support overall material planning efficiency. This position is integral to achieving project goals by maintaining accuracy, adherence to specifications, and timely delivery of materials. Key Responsibilities: Quantity Take-Offs: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications. Ensure accuracy and completeness in the preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for bulk orders. Specification Compliance: Review and ensure adherence to project specifications during the material planning process. Address any discrepancies in materials and specifications in coordination with relevant departments. Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with design, procurement, and planning teams to achieve timely and effective project deliverables. Support project teams in resolving material-related challenges. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain updated records of quantity take-offs and material schedules. Provide regular reports on material planning and progress to the Sr. Material Planning Engineer. Qualifications: Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the field, preferably with knowledge of the aluminium and faade industry. Skills: Strong analytical and planning skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant software tools.
