Quantitative Analyst

Role Overview: As a Quantitative Analyst at 5paisa Capital Ltd., you will leverage your analytical and programming skills to support the writing, testing, and optimization of trading strategies. You will also be responsible for cleaning and storing large datasets, creating, testing, and implementing risk and trading models. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, document, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance the efficiency of trading and investment strategies is a key aspect of your role. Responsibilities: - API Development & Testing: - Maintain RESTful APIs for algo trading platforms and ensure seamless integration with trading systems. - Conduct thorough testing of APIs to ensure compliance with infosec best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to API performance and functionality. - Algorithmic Trading Strategies: - Develop and backtest algorithmic trading strategies using advanced quantitative models and historical data. - Continuously monitor the performance of live trading strategies and enhance existing strategies based on performance. - Document and present trading strategies and algorithms effectively. Qualifications: Education: - Bachelors in engineering, maths, or physics is required. - An MBA is considered a plus but not mandatory. Experience: - 1-2 years of experience in any tech-related job is preferred. - Experience in Data Science/Engineering is an added advantage. Skills: - Proficiency in Python is a must. Knowledge of MATLAB, R, and functional programming languages is a plus. Competencies: - Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large datasets and develop strategies based on statistical analysis and market behavior. - Python Programming Expertise: Strong skills in building and maintaining APIs, data pipelines, and trading systems. - Problem-Solving: Capable of troubleshooting complex systems and optimizing strategies in real-time. - Communication: Clear ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams such as traders and risk managers. - Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing market conditions and strategy requirements.
