Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Quality Management System (QMS) Manager to develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The role involves ensuring adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other automotive quality standards , driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Management System Implementation & Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS as per IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements . Ensure compliance with international, customer, and regulatory quality standards. Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate external audits with certification bodies. Maintain and update quality manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation. 2. Process Improvement & Continuous Quality Enhancement Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues. Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key quality metrics (PPM, RPN, Cpk, etc.) and drive improvements. Ensure implementation of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and MSA in new and existing processes. 3. Supplier & Customer Quality Management Work closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Handle customer audits, complaints, and warranty claims , ensuring timely resolution. Establish and maintain supplier quality assurance programs and conduct supplier audits. 4. Team Management & Training Train and develop employees on QMS, problem-solving techniques, and quality tools (8D, 5-Why, SPC, etc.) . Build a culture of quality excellence and cross-functional collaboration. Lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors, assigning tasks and monitoring performance. 5. Documentation & Reporting Maintain QMS records, audit reports, corrective action logs, and quality control plans. Generate reports on quality performance and present findings to senior management. Track and implement changes as per automotive industry regulations and standards. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering. Experience: 15+ years in quality management, preferably in the automobile industry . Certifications (Preferred): IATF 16949 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), APQP & PPAP Certification. Technical Knowledge: Expertise in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA 6.3 standards. Strong command over FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and 8D methodologies . Experience with quality tools like 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Control Plans . Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes like forging, machining, and assembly . Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
