Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Hot Forging Supervisor to oversee and manage the hot forging operations in our automobile manufacturing unit. The role involves supervising the production process, ensuring quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Production Supervision: Manage daily hot forging operations to meet production targets. Ensure proper die setup, heating temperatures, and press operations. Monitor production processes for efficiency and quality compliance. Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure products meet industry and company standards. Identify defects and work with the quality team to implement corrective actions. Maintain documentation related to quality checks and deviations. Machine & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all forging equipment, presses, and furnaces are in optimal condition. Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance. Troubleshoot any machine or tooling issues that may arise. Workforce Management: Supervise and train production workers on hot forging processes and safety. Allocate tasks effectively and monitor worker performance. Address worker concerns and improve team motivation and efficiency. Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to industrial safety standards. Conduct safety drills and provide training on handling hot forging equipment. Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing and 5S methodologies to improve productivity. Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements. Work closely with R&D and production engineers to improve forging techniques. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field. Experience: 10+ years in hot forging operations, preferably in the automobile industry. Technical Skills: Knowledge of forging press operations, die & mold setup, metallurgy, and heat treatment processes. Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
