Job Description

Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Promote a zero-rejection quality culture by embedding quality at every stage of the

process, empowering employees to take ownership of quality, and driving continuous

improvement to eliminate defects.

  • Act as the primary liaison with customers, auditors, and certification bodies.
  • Organize and execute team-building activities & events to strengthen interpersonal

relationships, enhance communication and trust.

  • Encourage cross-functional & cross-departmental collaboration to improve overall

quality outcomes.

  • Process & Compliance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned

with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, & customer specific standards.

  • Oversee metallurgical testing, NDT (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant),

and dimensional inspections.

  • Establish and monitor process controls for forging (grain flow, heat treatment) and

machining (tolerances, surface finish).

  • Supplier & Customer Interface
  • Audit and qualify suppliers for raw materials and outsourced processes.
  • Manage customer complaints, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure full traceability of materials and processes for automotive customers.
  • Reduction in customer complaints and rejections.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce defects and improve yield.
  • Drive initiatives in SPC (Statistical Process Control), PPAP, FMEA, and MSA.
  • Champion digital quality tools (ERP/MES integration, real-time dashboards).
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Prepare reports for management reviews, customer audits, and regulatory

inspections.

  • Track KPIs such as rejection rates, customer returns, and audit scores.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Production Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • 20+ years of experience in quality management within forging/machining industries,

preferably aerospace or automotive.

  • Strong knowledge of hot forgings, metallurgical processes, machining tolerances, and

inspection techniques.

  • Certified in AS9100, ISO 9001, IATF 16949; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
  • Proficiency in NDT methods, GD&T, SPC, and advanced quality tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
