Job Description

Quality Control & Inspection:

Conduct visual and tactile inspections of leather materials to detect defects such as stains, scratches, or inconsistencies.
Evaluate leather for texture, color, thickness, and durability before, during, and after the production process.
Inspect finished leather goods for overall appearance, stitching quality, and functionality.

Testing and Evaluation:

Perform tests on leather materials and finished products, including tensile strength, flexibility, abrasion resistance, and colorfastness.
Monitor leather product performance under different conditions (e.g., water resistance, aging, UV exposure).

Process Monitoring:

Collaborate with the production team to ensure the quality of leather goods throughout the manufacturing process.
Monitor leather curing, tanning, and dyeing processes to ensure adherence to industry standards.

Supplier and Material Evaluation:

Conduct audits and quality assessments of leather suppliers to ensure materials meet company specifications.
Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality leather.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of inspection results, testing, and quality reports.
Provide feedback and quality reports to production and management teams.
Prepare and submit regular quality assurance reports for review and analysis.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements related to leather production and quality.
Assist in implementing quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions to resolve recurring issues.

Compliance & Standards:

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.), and environmental guidelines related to leather goods.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advances in leather production.
