Quality Engineer

As a Lead Engineer for the project to establish Quality requirements, your role includes reviewing the Quality Assurance Plan / ITP, Procedures, and inspecting Raw materials. You should have knowledge of various destructive & non-destructive test methods, as well as various manufacturing processes & their capabilities. Your responsibilities also involve implementing ISO in intra-department activities. Your key responsibilities in this role are: - Overall responsibility for Quality activities across the business. - Creating and implementing best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance. - Ensuring that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets. - Managing all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team such as internal, supplier, customer, and customer warranty. - Identifying root cause and implementing containment, corrective and permanent corrective actions for product quality issues. - Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues efficiently to prevent compromising quality and safety standards. - Carrying out product and process validation and auditing as per requirements. - Ensuring control plans and associated documentation are effectively implemented and maintained. - Monitoring and reporting on quality-related key performance indicators like rework levels and parts per million (PPM) figures. - Ensuring compliance and assisting with adherence to the Quality Management system (ISO 9001:2015). - Assisting with training of quality awareness. - Assisting with first off sample approvals. - Participating in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products to meet customer requirements. - Participating in the development and refinement of Design and Process. - Managing the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Managing and coordinating customer PPM (Parts per Million), supplier PPM, supplier problem-solving on time, cost recovery, and supplier warranty indicators. - Keeping up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality. - Performing root cause analysis and resolving problems. - Independently determining approach and assigned tasks.
