Job Description

A Furniture Quality Control (QC) professional is responsible for ensuring that furniture products meet the required quality standards before they are released to the market. Your role involves conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations at various stages of the manufacturing process to identify defects or issues with the furniture items. By maintaining high-quality standards, the primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the production process. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of furniture products, including raw materials, components, and finished goods. This includes inspecting for defects, damages, inconsistencies in design, measurements, and finish. Additionally, you will be performing tests to assess the strength, durability, and functionality of the furniture items. Implementing quality control procedures and standards is crucial to ensure that all furniture products meet the company's quality requirements. You will also develop and maintain quality control documentation such as inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance records. Identifying and documenting defects or non-conformities found during inspections will be part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with production and design teams to determine the root causes of defects and provide feedback for process improvements to prevent future issues. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines is essential. You will stay updated with changing regulations, conduct risk assessments to identify safety hazards, and propose solutions to mitigate risks. Collecting and analyzing quality data will help you identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. You will prepare reports summarizing quality performance, inspection results, and corrective actions taken. Presenting findings and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams is also part of the role. Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to establish quality requirements and expectations is crucial. You will conduct regular audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure their products meet specified quality standards. Resolving any quality-related issues with suppliers and working towards continuous improvement is necessary. Providing training and guidance to production and quality control staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and procedures will be part of your responsibilities. Staying informed about industry trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques is essential to enhance product knowledge and ensure effective quality control. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including cell phone reimbursement, commuter assistance, health insurance, internet reimbursement, leave encashment, life insurance, paid sick time, and provident fund. The work schedule is during the day shift with a performance bonus. Ability to commute/relocate to Nilambur, Kerala is required. The preferred education level is a Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in furniture design, quality control, and QA/QC is required. Proficiency in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam is necessary. The work location is in person.,
