Quality Control Engineer - Defense & Aerospace

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in fabrication and machining of high-precision components and equipment for critical sectors such as defense, aerospace, and nuclear. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of standards and practices related to DRDO, DRDL, ISRO, NPCIL, and similar organizations. The candidate must ensure adherence to stringent quality standards across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspect and monitor the fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes for precision equipment and components.
2. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards (IS, ASME, ASTM, ISO, MIL, etc.), and internal quality procedures.3. Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections using appropriate measuring tools (CMM, NDT, gauges, etc.).4. Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), CAPA, and material traceability records.5. Interact with customer representatives (DRDO, ISRO, NPCIL, etc.) during stage inspections and audits.6. Review and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, welding symbols, and fabrication tolerances.Coordinate and support third-party inspections, WPS/PQR qualifications, and NDT activities (RT, UT, PT, MT).7. Participate in internal audits and assist in the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS9100 standards.8. Work closely with design, production, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and improve process capability.9. Assist in developing and implementing quality plans, control plans, and inspection standards for new and existing projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Certification in NDT Level II or III, Welding Inspection (CSWIP/BGAS), or Internal Auditor ISO 9001, 9100D.2. Experience in cleanroom and critical welding applications (especially for aerospace/nuclear).3. Exposure to project-based manufacturing for government clients.
