Quality Engineer - Pressure Vessel Division Yamunanagar 3 - 7 years INR 3.0 - 7.0 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

Conduct inspections and quality control assessments for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other critical equipment in compliance with international standards (ASME, API, ASNT, etc.). Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant tests on pressure vessels and associated equipment. Review and approve weld procedures and work instructions for fabrication and repairs. Ensure all pressure vessel design, fabrication, and installation processes meet industry specifications and safety standards. Monitor the performance of nodulizers, heat exchangers, and related equipment, ensuring timely and effective preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for any quality-related issues, deviations, or non-conformities and suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Prepare and review inspection reports, documentation, and certificates of compliance. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure materials and components meet quality standards. Lead and participate in audits of quality management systems, as well as internal and external inspections. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and maintenance teams regarding pressure vessel and heat exchanger inspection, repair, and maintenance. Stay updated on relevant industry standards and certifications to ensure continuous compliance.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Draughtsman with a strong background in design and drafting within the heavy engineering industry . The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in preparing detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD , with a deep understanding of fabrication, machining, and heavy equipment components and can handle team. Key Responsibilities: Develop and prepare accurate 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD for heavy engineering projects. Convert conceptual designs, rough sketches, and specifications into detailed engineering drawings. Work closely with design engineers to translate technical inputs into manufacturable drawings. Create and revise fabrication, assembly, and GA drawings for large equipment, structures, and heavy components. Ensure drawings adhere to applicable industry standards (IS/ASME) and internal quality procedures. Perform design calculations (basic level) where required for layout or material selection. Review and cross-check drawings to ensure accuracy and manufacturability. Maintain organized documentation and drawing records in line with company practices. Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams for drawing clarifications. Required Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting in the heavy engineering sector (e.g., fabrication, pressure vessels, structural equipment, material handling systems, etc.). Expertise in AutoCAD (2D drafting is a must). Strong knowledge of mechanical design practices, welding symbols, tolerances, and GD&T. Understanding of fabrication processes, machining operations, and BOM generation. Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and customer drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in working with international clients or EPC projects. Exposure to ERP systems for BOM handling. Familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is an added advantage but not mandatory.
