Job Description

Role: Quality Checker - Creative

Location: Chennai

Shift: Rotational Shift

Purpose of Role

The Quality Assurance Executive (Creative QC) is responsible for ensuring defect-free delivery of creative outputs by reviewing design files for accuracy, brand compliance, and alignment with client briefs. The role acts as a quality gatekeeper, working closely with creative teams to maintain high standards while meeting productivity and deadline targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review creative deliverables (print, digital, and publication files) to ensure 100% accuracy and adherence to client brand guidelines and specifications.
  • Understand client briefs and provide quality checks that align with visual and technical requirements.
  • Identify and categorize errors, maintain accurate error logs, and update quality tracking systems/workflow portals.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Creative Designers, and Workflow Coordinators to ensure timely corrections and issue resolution.
  • Provide inputs on process improvements and support the development of quality check standards and best practices.
  • Assist in implementing corrective and preventive measures for internal and external errors.
  • Monitor deadlines, communicate risks proactively, and ensure projects are delivered on time without compromising quality.
  • Support operational requirements during peak periods, weekends, or holidays when needed.

Personal Competencies

  • Degree/Diploma in Printing Technology, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in quality control for creative/design production teams.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Professional; working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and proven ability to perform computer-aided quality checks efficiently.
  • Prior experience in creative QC/QA processes is an advantage.

Performance Benchmarks

  • Meet quality, deadline, and productivity targets as defined by the team.
  • Maintain high scores in internal quality audits and client satisfaction metrics.
  • Complete all required training programs and certifications on time.

Hours of Work

  • Willingness to work on day & night shifts (9 hours) on a rotation / continuous basis
  • Flexibility to work on-demand as per operational requirements
  • Adaptable to work on Saturdays and Sundays, or holidays

Experience and qualifications

  • Any degree, candidates from print/press background, Hands on experience in InDesign/Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator will have an added advantage
  • Prior experience in QA/QC will be an add on as well
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, but should possess the speed and accuracy to perform an end-to-end computer aided quality check
  • Proficient in Adobe acrobat professional
