Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description

Location : Mohali Key Responsibilities: Execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and/or desktop applications. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify and document bugs or inconsistencies. Participate in daily standups and sprint planning as part of an Agile development team. Assist in writing, updating, and maintaining test documentation such as test plans and test cases. Perform regression, functional, integration, and smoke testing as needed. Track and report defects using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved prior to production release. Maintain clear and concise test result documentation. Required Skills: Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC). Familiarity with test case creation and defect tracking. Knowledge with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Selenium (basic level), or similar. Good communication skills and a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Btech-CSE/Tech Graduation or Master's will be preferred. Exposure to basic automation frameworks or scripting is a plus. ISTQB Foundation Level certification (optional but advantageous). Understanding of SQL or database validation.
