Job Description

As the Food Safety and Quality Lead for bakery and pastry production, your role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality are maintained throughout the entire process, from raw material receipt to finished product delivery. **Main Responsibilities:** - **Food Safety System Development:** - Oversee and enhance food safety management systems for the kitchen. - Implement and uphold HACCP plans, ensuring effective management of all critical control points. - Keep food safety documentation and records accurate and up-to-date. - Prepare the kitchen/team for regulatory audits such as FSSAI, FDA, ISO 22000, and BRC. - Conduct root cause analysis for any arising issues and implement long-term fixes. - **Hygiene and Cleanliness:** - Develop and maintain cleaning schedules for kitchens, work areas, storage, and equipment. - Monitor daily hygiene practices to ensure adherence to safe procedures. - Lead regular hygiene inspections, address gaps, and provide coaching to the team. - Oversee pest control as part of the overall hygiene program, including setting up, monitoring, and logging pest management actions. - **Product Quality:** - Establish standards for product taste, texture, shelf life, and appearance. - Monitor product quality throughout production and post-packaging. - Collaborate with production, R&D, and warehouse teams to maintain product consistency and address any process changes. - **Training and Team Development:** - Train staff on food safety systems, hygiene practices, allergen control, and proper documentation. - Foster a culture of accountability for food safety within the team. - Communicate updates and improvements to staff clearly and consistently. - **Customer Complaint Response:** - Investigate food safety or quality complaints promptly. - Utilize complaint trends to drive system improvements and staff retraining. **Key Indicators for Success:** - 100% audit compliance (food safety and hygiene) - No customer complaints related to safety or hygiene failures - Consistent product quality (taste, texture, appearance) - Low incidents of food safety or hygiene breakdowns - Timely completion of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) **Qualification & Experience:** - Graduate in Food Technology, Microbiology, Hygiene, or Science. - 4 to 6 years of experience in food QA, preferably in bakery/pastry kitchen production. - Experience in designing, maintaining, and auditing food safety systems. **Key Skills:** - Ability to develop and enhance systems. - Strong leadership skills on the shop floor. - Proficient in problem-solving and analysis. - Effective training and coaching abilities. - Excellent record-keeping and attention to detail. **Job Location:** Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore **Salary:** 8 to 12 LPA If you feel aligned with this role and possess the necessary qualifications and experience, please reach out to HR-Chitra Aher at chitraaher35@gmail.com for further details.,
