Role Overview:

data-focused, back-end ETL and Oracle database testing engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the test strategy and approach for projects.
• Work closely with developers, support, and offshore/onshore teams on testing activities, including test case/script writing, clarification, and data load.
• Track updates and progress of testing schedules.
• Assign testing tasks to other team members.
• Review test cases/scripts for other team members and guide them on test case writing & script development.
• Analyze formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, or configuration issues in Azure DevOps.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.
• Estimate and prioritize tasks for the test team.
• Prepare various metrics and reports, such as test closure reports.
• Recommend improvements to testing processes to create efficiencies.
• Write and execute string, integration, and regression tests as appropriate.

Job Requirements (Mandatory):

• 6+ years of hands-on experience

  with SQL Server, Oracle (Preferably), or SAP HANA.
• Working experience in

  ETL testing

  including Master Data Management, Data Completeness, Data Cataloging, and Data Quality.
• Experience in

  database testing, data comparison & data transformation scripting

  .
• Good knowledge of

  Data Warehousing concepts & Data Modelling

  .
• Strong hands-on experience in creating

  Stored Procedures, Functions, Tables, and Cursors

  .
• Proficiency in

  complex query writing

  using Joins, Subqueries, and CTEs.
• Experience in testing of reports and BO Universe.
• Experienced in structured test methods and processes.

• Azure Infra & Networking know-how

  and Testing experience.

• Cloud Azure PaaS Analytics & Storage services know-how

  and Testing experience.
• Good understanding of

  Azure Security

  (identity/access controls, data safeguarding, key management).
• Experience in

  SAP HANA projects

  is an added advantage.

Education & Experience:

• Preferably a degree (MSc, BSc, or equivalent) in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 6 years of proven experience in testing/development roles.
