Position- Quality Assurance & Control

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS), typically ISO 9001 or similar, specifically tailored for metal fabrication.
• Establish and enforce Quality Control (QC) procedures and inspection plans for all stages of fabrication, including raw material inspection, in-process checks (cutting, bending, welding, machining), and final product inspection.
• Conduct regular internal quality audits and prepare the facility for external audits.
• Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, including identification, documentation, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all inspection, measuring, and test equipment .

Inspection and Testing

• Perform or supervise the inspection of raw materials (e.g., steel plates, sections, pipes) for compliance with material specifications and mill certificates.
• Verify dimensional accuracy and fit-up of components using precision measuring instruments.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, final documentation, and Quality reports for customer submission.

Process Improvement

• Collaborate with Production and Design teams to proactively address quality issues and implement process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role in the metal fabrication ( piping, general fabrication, etc.).
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of metal fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, forming, machining, and finishing.
• QMS Expertise: Proven experience implementing and managing an ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS.
• Communication: Written and verbal communication skills in English and relevant local languages for effective interaction with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

CTC: 3-4 Lakhs

Working location: Narhe, Pune

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
