Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, and scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. Your primary focus will be on validating software functionality and performance through automated testing. To excel in this role, you should have experience with automation testing frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or TestNG. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is essential. Familiarity with test management tools, version control systems like Git, and bug tracking tools like JIRA is also required. Preferred qualifications include experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured, and a basic understanding of cloud testing environments or platforms. Your responsibilities will include writing comprehensive test plans, detailed test cases, and bug/defect reports. You will execute automated tests, analyze results, and collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and resolve issues. Participation in code reviews and contribution to test strategy, process improvement, and documentation efforts are also expected. It is mandatory to have proficiency in at least one of the programming languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript. Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, or TestNG frameworks is a must. Additionally, familiarity with databases like MySQL and SQL Server for validation purposes, version control systems, test management tools, and Agile/Scrum development processes is preferred.
