A Day in the Life Could Include (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborating with the functional team to gather and understand requirements.
- Reviewing functional requirements and technical design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables.
- Performing system and requirement gap analysis.
- Documenting and executing comprehensive test plans.
- Identifying and documenting process improvements.
- Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
- Identifying, replicating, reporting defects, and verifying defect fixes.
- Communicating QA status updates to the project team and management.
- Working closely with IT teams to support and enhance applications while identifying requirements to meet business needs.
What You Will Need to Bring with You (Experience & Education Required):
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within an Agile Scrum delivery model, with strong expertise in automation testing.
- 5+ years of experience in documenting and executing QA project test plans using TOSCA automation frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience in requirements analysis, system analysis, and gap analysis within automated testing contexts.
- 5+ years of experience in smoke and regression validation using automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca.
What You Will Do:
- Design and develop automation frameworks using TOSCA.
- Create, develop, and execute automated test cases with Tricentis Tosca to validate functionality, performance, and application integration.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Maintain and enhance existing test scripts and regression suites using Tosca.
- Implement and manage Tosca Distributed Execution (DEX) to optimize test execution efficiency across multiple environments.
- Lead and manage Tosca upgrades, ensuring compatibility and access to new features.
- Create comprehensive test plans, document detailed test cases, and record results using tools such as qTest, JIRA, ALM, and ADO.
- Conduct API testing, focusing on request/response validation, authentication, error handling, and performance.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure robust testing coverage.
- Support and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and expand coverage.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation testing using Tosca.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with expertise in Tosca and related testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with tools such as qTest, JIRA, ADO, and ALM.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Experience & Education):
- Extensive hands-on experience in automation testing with Tosca and qTest.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration (CI) practices.
- Experience with non-functional testing using JMeter or NeoLoad.
- Exposure to open-source tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
- A drive for continuous improvement with the ability to thoughtfully challenge the status quo.
- Adaptability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies.
