Job Description

Job Title: Quality Associate

Department: Quality Assurance
Location: Pillaipakkam (Sriperumbudur)
Reports To: Quality Manager / Line Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Associate to join our team. The role involves ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process of automotive wiring harnesses. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring quality systems, conducting inspections, managing customer requirements, and driving corrective and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Immediate Corrective Action (ICA) activities at both customer sites and in-house.
  • Approve initial process start-up (First piece / Machine / Line approval).
  • Conduct daily meetings with Production Engineers on line and customer rejections; follow up on Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
  • Verify circuit and visual NC register, approve rework parts with proper identification, and ensure follow-up.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met during dispatch and prepare Pre-Dispatch Inspection Report (PDIR) for submission along with invoices.
  • Conduct defect awareness and effect training programs for operators in coordination with the training team.
  • Perform new part development inspection activities.
  • Conduct periodic checks on wiring against drawings and standards.
  • Initiate and monitor implementation of corrective actions for non-conformities.
  • Verify LRN (Lot Release Note) parts.
  • Carry out board validation and circuit tester validation activities.
  • Perform dock audits (re-verification of 20% samples from each bin).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes in automotive/engineering industries.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection, testing, and validation methods.
  • Familiarity with ICA, CAR, PDIR, LRN, and audit procedures.
  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to train operators and promote quality culture.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 0–3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the automotive wiring harness industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹14,300.00 per month
