Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimation:

Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to derive quantities for materials, labor, and equipment.
Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for bidding and tendering processes.
Managing client and subcontractor billing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Preparing material reconciliation statements and material consumption reports.

Project Planning & Scheduling:

Developing and managing project budgets and cost control systems.
Monitoring actual costs against the budget and identifying areas of cost overruns.
Preparing cost analysis reports and recommending corrective actions.

Risk Management:

Identifying potential risks associated with cost, schedule, and resources.
Developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Communication & Coordination:

Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Communicating project progress, issues, and risks to relevant parties.
Preparing and presenting project reports and updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards (e.g., IS codes in India).
Experience with quantity surveying, cost estimation, and contract management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
