QGIS Developer

As a Sr. Software Engineer at Innefu Lab Pvt. We are seeking a skilled QGIS Developer with over 4 years of experience to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your strong expertise in QGIS software, plugins, tools, and libraries to enhance our geospatial data management, analysis, and visualization capabilities. Key Technical Requirements: - Proficiency in GIS software, particularly QGIS, and its various plugins. - In-depth knowledge of data management, analysis, and visualization techniques within QGIS. - Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, R, and SQL. - Experience working with database management systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. - Ability to create and manage geospatial databases, design data models, and implement robust solutions. - Understanding of geospatial data formats like shapefiles, geodatabases, and GeoJSON. - Strong grasp of cartographic principles to develop high-quality maps and visualizations. - Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues related to QGIS and related tools. - Exposure to web mapping technologies like OpenLayers, Leaflet, and Mapbox. - Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. - Proficient in problem-solving and developing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. - Experience with version control systems like Git and SVN. - Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques such as network analysis, spatial interpolation, and geostatistics. - Certification in relevant areas like QGIS Certified Associate or Professional. - Hands-on experience with QGIS tools and GIS software like ArcGIS, GRASS, and PostGIS. - Familiarity with web mapping technologies, databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite), and operating systems (Windows, Linux). Your role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing projects independently or as part of a team, and showcasing your problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines. A background in Agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous for this position.
