QE - Test Engineer (ETL/DATA Validation)

As an Assistant Manager at our company in Bangalore, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our data integration processes through meticulous testing and validation. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with ETL developers, data analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and business rules. - Develop detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results. - Execute ETL and data validation tests to ensure data accuracy and quality. - Perform backend integration testing with a focus on data validation. - Use SQL/Alteryx proficiently for data validation and testing. - Design, develop, and maintain automated scripts for ETL and data validation using tools/frameworks like Alteryx and AFS Vision. - Prepare thorough documentation for test scripts, test data, and testing methodologies. - Communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders effectively. - Participate in design reviews and provide input on the testability and quality aspects of data integration processes. - Maintain excellent collaboration with team members and stakeholders through effective communication. - Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data validation and ETL testing. - Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies. Qualifications: - Experience: 7-9 years of experience in backend integration testing or a similar role. - Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing. Practical experience with ETL and data validation automation using tools/frameworks like Alteryx and AFS Vision. - ETL Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and data warehousing concepts. Proven experience in ETL testing, data validation, and data quality assurance. - Data Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data validation reporting. - Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Skills: - Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. - Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.,
