QC Microbiologist - Officer/Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION

Media Preparation & Consumption

o Prepare various microbiological media as per SOPs and maintain accurate media consumption records.

2. Media Sterilization & Documentation

o Carry out sterilization processes for media using validated methods and record sterilization details

diligently.

3. Media Inventory Management

o Monitor and manage the inventory of received and used microbiological media, ensuring proper labeling

and storage.

4. Growth Promotion Test (GPT) Execution

o Perform GPT analysis for all prepared media to verify its suitability for microbiological testing.

5. Autoclave Operation & Monitoring

o Operate autoclaves for sterilization processes and maintain associated logs and performance records.

6. Microbiological Analysis

Conduct routine microbiological testing and maintain accurate records, utilizing instruments such as

weighing balances and water baths.

7. Instrument Calibration

o Perform and document calibration of laboratory instruments including weighing balances and water baths

as per defined schedules.

8. Media Reconciliation

o Reconcile used and unused media with log records to ensure traceability and inventory control.

Experience = 1 to 3 years

Qualification: B.sc/M.sc
