QC Manager/Head

Position: QC Manager/Head

Role & responsibilities

1. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Control Plans (CPs):

• Develop and implement SOPs and CPs for all processes within the BESS vertical.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards and company objectives.

2. Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) Monitoring and Corrective Actions:

• Monitor DPPM levels across all sections.
• Analyze root causes and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) based on severity.

3. Rejection Control:

• Capture end-to-end rejection data and maintain it within management-defined targets.
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize rejections.

4. Inspection Processes:

• Prepare and deploy charts for Incoming Inspection and Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI).
• Ensure strict adherence to defined inspection standards.

5. Statistical Process Control (SPC):

• Implement and ensure the practice of SPC, including Cp and Cpk monitoring, on the shop floor.
• Use statistical tools to improve process capability and stability.

6. Calibration Management:

• Oversee the calibration of machinery instruments and testing equipment critical to quality standards.
• Ensure timely calibration to avoid deviations in quality.

7. ISO Certification Compliance:

• Initiate and oversee actions required for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
• Ensure compliance with all quality and environmental standards.

8. Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) Studies:

• Conduct R&R studies and ensure results meet acceptable standards.
• Identify variations and take corrective measures.

9. Voice of Customer (VOC):

• Gather VOC feedback from the market and take immediate corrective actions as needed.
• Implement long-term solutions to address customer concerns.

10. Poka-Yoke and Kaizen Effectiveness:

• Ensure the effectiveness of mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) mechanisms.
• Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizens).

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in BESS or a related manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control tools, SPC, ISO standards, and CAPA methodologies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in statistical analysis software and quality management systems.
