Job Summary

food safety, hygiene, and brand quality standards

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspection of
raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods
.
Monitor in-process production stages (dough, proofing, baking, cooling, finishing, confectionery items).
Ensure compliance with
FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and company SOPs
.
Check taste, texture, weight, and presentation of products against approved specifications.
Maintain records of QC checks, deviations, and corrective actions.
Oversee hygiene, sanitation, and pest control measures inside the commissary.
Support in
shelf-life studies, product trials, and new recipe validations
.
Train production staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality practices.
Coordinate with suppliers for raw material quality issues and support audits.
Escalate quality concerns to management and recommend preventive measures.

Key Skills & Attributes

Knowledge of
bakery & confectionery processes
(breads, cakes, pastries, desserts).
Strong understanding of
food microbiology, safety, and quality standards
.
Eye for detail with problem-solving ability.
Proficient in QC reporting and documentation.
Good communication & coordination skills with production teams.

Qualifications & Experience

B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or equivalent.
1–3 years of QC experience
in bakery, confectionery, or food processing industry.
Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.

Work Environment

Bulk production commissary unit for bakery & confectionery items.
Requires regular presence on the shop floor.
Flexible to work in
shifts, weekends, and festive seasons
.
