Role: QA-Tester
Highly motivated with 3 to 5 yrs experienced QA Tester capable of handling comprehensive software quality assurance, specializing in functional, performance, and security testing. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous problem-solver with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable products.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing
Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases (manual and automated) based on product requirements and user stories.
Identify, document, and meticulously track software defects using a bug tracking system.
Perform various types of functional testing, including regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Collaborate closely with development and product teams to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues promptly.
Performance Testing
Develop and execute performance and load testing scripts to evaluate system response times, throughput, and stability under various load conditions.
Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks (e.g., in database queries, application code, or infrastructure), and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
Utilize tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar to simulate real-world user traffic.
Security Testing
Conduct basic to intermediate-level security testing (vulnerability scanning, penetration testing) to identify common security flaws (SQL injection, XSS, broken authentication).
Work with development teams to ensure compliance with security best practices and company policies.
Utilize security testing tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar to test application resilience.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
Proven experience in designing and executing test cases for functional, performance, and security aspects of software applications.
Proficiency with at least one test management tool (Jira, TestRail, ALM).
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Experience with SQL and database testing to validate data integrity.
Excellent analytical, communication, and written skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Skills
Experience in a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
Certification in a relevant area (ISTQB, relevant security certifications).
Experience testing APIs/Web Services using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
