Job Description

As a QA Tester (Manual & Automation) based in Mumbai, you will be responsible for contributing to the quality assurance processes of various applications, particularly in financial domains. With a focus on manual testing and a basic understanding of automation, you will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure thorough testing practices that align with business needs. Your expertise in tools like JIRA, along with strong communication skills, will be key to your success in this role. In this position, your key responsibilities will include defining and implementing test plans in collaboration with Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). You will work closely with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure that testing processes meet business requirements. Additionally, you will liaise with Project Managers to create testing verification documents and maintain comprehensive scenario coverage. Throughout the testing phase, you will log and track defects, providing valuable feedback for prompt resolution. Continuous improvement of test scripts and proactive stakeholder engagement will also be part of your duties. To excel in this role, you should possess 3-6 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing, with a foundational understanding of Automation Testing. Proficiency in JIRA and other test management tools is essential, along with the ability to design test plans, develop strategies, and craft test cases. An understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies will be beneficial in executing testing procedures effectively. Given the focus on financial domains, prior experience in Finance or Financial Services is a must. Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools will further support your day-to-day activities.
