Job Description:. The Software Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible in ensuring the highest standards of software quality within the airline industry. This role involves developing and implementing QA processes, overseeing automated and manual testing efforts, and collaborating with cross functional teams to enhance product reliability and performance. The QA will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing testing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and airline-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications (mandatory requirements): Education and Experience • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role. • Experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies. • Proven track record of implementing and improving QA processes in Agile and DevOps environments. • Experience in the airline domain is mandatory, with a strong understanding of airline reservation, ticketing, and operations systems. Technical Skill; • Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. • Understanding of cloud-based testing solutions such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or Java for test automation. Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-haves): • ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing. • Experience with API testing using Postman or RestAssured. • Knowledge of security testing practices. • Prior experience in airline, travel, or aviation industry software testing is highly preferred. Key Competencies • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures to improve software development efficiency and quality, with a focus on airline systems. • Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. • Oversee manual and automated testing processes, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for functional, regression, performance, and security testing. • Work closely with development, product management, and operations teams to define test strategies, resolve issues, and ensure product stability in airline reservation, booking, and management systems. • Establish and monitor key QA metrics to measure test effectiveness and product quality. • Drive automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and reduce time-to-market. • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing. • Manage test environments and ensure proper configuration for different testing scenarios. • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies related to software quality and airline industry regulations. • Advocate for customer-centric testing approaches and best practices to enhance user experience. • Airlines • Airline software providers (such as Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport, Navitaire) Previous work experience • Travel technology companies • Airport technology and operations software firms • Aviation IT service providers
