QA Test Engineer

You are a seasoned and motivated QA Test Engineer with 6-7 years of experience, focusing on Test Automation support. You are expected to be a solution-oriented individual, working well independently and within a cross-functional team. Your role involves running testing efforts to ensure product quality, implementing new QA activities and procedures, and being innovative and flexible to contribute to shaping exceptional products. As a QA Test Engineer, you will execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC), develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation based on requirements, design, and solutions. You will design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met. Your responsibilities include performing manual test execution, identifying defects, conducting root cause analysis, and thoroughly documenting defects with steps to reproduce. Collaborating with product owners, you will develop an understanding of user stories and use cases to formulate test approaches, write test plans, and analyze outcomes effectively. You will work across different teams to validate products, find ways to improve them, and prepare for testing, including peer reviews, test environment setup, and test plan documentation. Your role will involve developing strategies to automate tests for efficiency and coverage, writing and maintaining test scripts using tools like Selenium. You will evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies, ensuring product compliance with external software quality requirements. Generating quality metrics and reports, you will track manual and automated efforts" status and health. Additionally, you will review test plans and cases, provide progress reports, and offer testing expertise to support user requirements for applications. To qualify for this role, you need a BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, along with 6 or more years of specific testing experience. You should have proven work experience in software quality assurance, strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as experience in writing clear test plans and cases. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, SQL, and scripting is essential. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes, performance testing, or security testing is advantageous.
