JOB SUMMARY: QA TL collaborate with cross-discipline project team members including software developers, product managers, and peer software test engineers to create, review and execute against quality testing plans for one or more assigned projects. QA Engineers are strong self-starters with a constant appetite for learning technology, have a passion for quality, and enjoy a challenge. This is a growing software quality assurance team, with plenty of opportunities for growth. RESPONSIBILITIES: Write detailed, clear, and thorough test cases. Execute manual functional test cases and provide relevant reports on results. Execute manual API tests utilizing Postman and provide comprehensive reports on results. Collaborate closely with the test automation team and assist in creating API automation as needed. Conduct mandatory manual testing, including functional and API testing, across various environments. Provide QA test support to ongoing Sprint development as well as release support in lower QA environments. Analyze, track, and report on application issues and maintain documentation on project issues and defect metrics. Review results of automated test runs and collaborate with the automation team to triage. Participate in the entire development life cycle from concept to release in an Agile environment. Develop, deliver, and track progress to testing schedules within aggressive time-to-market driven project environments. Regularly summarize testing status and areas of risk. Employ a sound test risk management approach. Collaborate within the QA team and across product development on process improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of software quality assurance and/or product development experience, working in an Agile Scrum environment with exposure to the full product development cycle. Exceptional test case writing skills is mandatory. Significant experience in manual testing, including functional, API, and performance testing of multi-tiered, web-based, and/or mobile software products. Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance best practices and methodologies, including testing for performance, security, scalability, reliability, and accessibility. Mandatory experience performing manual API testing with Postman. Knowledge of writing functional and end-to-end API automation with Python, Java, or JavaScript. Knowledge of writing functional and end-to-end UI automation with Python, Java, Selenium, or JavaScript is preferred. Experience in performance testing tools and techniques is a plus. Solid test planning skills, providing well-documented test strategies, procedures, and results. Excellent troubleshooting ability. Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills and a can do attitude. Routinely demonstrates flexibility and is a very capable multi-tasker. Possesses solid organizational and time management skills. Experience driving and participating in software development/testing process improvement initiatives.
