QA Lead

Role Overview:

payment gateway product

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the QA team for payment gateway and related integrations
• Define QA strategy, test plans, and test scenarios for releases
• Ensure end-to-end testing of payment flows (authorization, capture, refund, void, reversal)
• Validate integrations with acquirers, processors, wallets, and POS systems
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, UAT, and production-like testing
• Ensure compliance with

  PCI-DSS, EMV, PA-DSS / PCI-SSF

  standards
• Review and track defects, root cause analysis, and closure
• Coordinate with Product, Development, DevOps, and external stakeholders
• Support certification testing with processors, and third-party partners
• Drive test automation strategy and execution
• Prepare QA status reports, release sign-off, and risk assessments

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in QA, with 2+ years in a lead role
• Strong experience in

  payment gateways / fintech / POS systems

• Hands-on knowledge of card payments (Visa, MasterCard, Amex), Contact, Contactless, tokenization
• Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), Swagger/Postman
• Experience with test management tools
• Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Appium, API automation)
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

Good to Have:

• Experience with multi-region or high-volume transaction systems
• Knowledge of fraud checks, chargebacks, and reconciliation
• Experience in cloud-based payment platforms
