Qa Engineer

Job Title:

Job Summary:

As a Mid-Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for test planning, execution, automation, and reporting. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to enhance software quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning & Execution:

• Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and UI testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and work with developers to resolve them.

2. Automation Testing:

• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Maintain and optimize automated test suites.

3. Performance & API Testing:

• Conduct basic performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Perform API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.

4. Defect Management & Reporting:

• Log defects, track them to resolution, and perform root cause analysis.
• Generate test execution reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

5. CI/CD & DevOps Integration:

• Work with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for continuous testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• Experience with performance testing using JMeter.
• Familiarity with mobile testing (Android, iOS).
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
