About the Role

QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution

• Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for School ERP modules (Admissions, Timetable, Attendance, Fees, Communication, etc.) and mobile apps.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing for web and mobile platforms.
  

• Bug Tracking & Reporting

• Identify, log, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (Jira, Trello, etc.).
• Work closely with developers and product owners to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  

• Automation & Performance Testing

• Contribute to automation test scripts for key workflows.
• Conduct basic load, stress, and performance testing for critical modules.
  

• Quality Processes

• Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.
• Provide feedback to improve product usability and reliability.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release readiness reviews.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in manual and/or automated testing of web and mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience testing ERP, CRM, or other enterprise-level applications preferred.
• Familiarity with Android/iOS app testing (manual & automated).
• Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, etc.).
• Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) is a plus.
• Good communication skills to clearly document defects and collaborate with teams.
  

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress.
• Prior experience testing School ERP or EdTech platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
