What Youll Be Working On As a QA Engineer at Asign?

You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform. Your primary responsibilities will include manual testing, test automation, API testing, defect management, and collaborating with developers and product teams to optimize quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution:

1. Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts based on project requirements.
2. Perform manual and automated testing to validate product functionality, usability, and stability.
3. Conduct functional, regression, smoke, integration, UAT, and cross-browser testing to ensure high-quality software releases.
4. Identify edge cases and exploratory scenarios to uncover potential issues.

• Test Automation & API Testing:

1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
2. Implement and execute API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
3. Execute automated regression tests as part of CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous software quality.
4. Work with developers to integrate automated tests into the development lifecycle.

• Defect Management & Tracking :

1. Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools.
2. Collaborate closely with developers to debug, reproduce, and verify fixes.
3. Participate in defect triage meetings to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
4. Process Optimization & Collaboratiom
5. Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning and stand-ups. Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and UI/UX teams to define and refine test strategies.
6. Continuously improve test automation frameworks and optimize QA processes.

• Mentorship & Documentation

1. Maintain clear documentation of test cases, automation scripts, defect reports, and daily status updates.
2. Provide guidance to junior QA engineers, helping them improve their automation skills.
3. Ensure compliance with QA standards, security guidelines, and best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications:
4. Educational Qualifications
5. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.

• Primary Technical Skills (Mandatory)

1. Test Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
2. API Testing Proficiency: Strong experience with Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools. Manual Testing Knowledge: Experience in functional, regression, UAT, smoke, and cross-browser testing.
3. Bug Tracking & Defect Management: Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking tools.
4. SQL/MongoDB Experience: Basic knowledge for data validation in testing.
5. CI/CD Integration: Familiarity with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
6. Performance Testing (Preferred): Exposure to JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
7. Cloud Testing (Preferred): Experience with AWS or Azure is a plus.
