QA Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Role & responsibilities

• Design, review, and execute comprehensive

  manual and automated test cases

  for web, mobile, and API-driven applications.
• Analyze

  business and functional requirements

  to prepare detailed test plans, scenarios, and coverage documentation.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize robust

  automation scripts

  using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.
• Perform

  end-to-end API testing

  functional, schema, validation, and integrationusing

  Postman

  and

  REST Assured

  .
• Conduct diverse testing types:

  functional, regression, smoke, sanity, cross-browser, accessibility, and usability testing

  .
• Collaborate closely with

  developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams

  to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Manage the complete

  defect lifecycle

  including reporting, triaging, prioritizing, tracking, and verifying fixes using

  JIRA

  or similar tools.
• Support and execute

  performance testing

  (JMeter, LoadRunner) and contribute to

  basic security validation

  under guidance.
• Actively participate in

  Agile ceremonies

  —sprint planning, story grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Validate

  UI/UX consistency, responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-device compatibility

  while promoting continuous improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• STLC, Agile & Scrum:

  Strong understanding of software testing processes and sprint-based workflows.

• Manual Testing:

  Functional, web, mobile, and API testing proficiency.

• Automation Tools:

  Hands-on experience with

  Selenium

  and

  Playwright

  (Cypress is a plus).

• API Testing:

  Expertise in

  Postman

  and

  REST Assured

  for RESTful validation.

• Test Management:

  Experience with

  JIRA

  ,

  TestRail

  , and

  Zephyr

  .

• Testing Types:

  Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and Accessibility testing.

• Database Validation:

  Strong SQL skills for backend and data integrity verification.

• Performance Testing:

  Working knowledge of

  Apache JMeter

  .

• Cross-Platform Testing:

  Experience validating responsiveness and UI/UX consistency.
